Advanced Services and Technologies
EBTEC utilizes more than 45 years of industry experience and the latest in technologies and processes to find cost-effective solutions for our customers' precision fabrication challenges. Our full array of services includes the latest high energy beam processes, such as Electron Beam Welding, Laser Welding, Laser Cutting, Laser Drilling, EDM, Vacuum Heat Treating, and Abrasive Waterjet Cutting, in addition to our extensive conventional machining processes.
Our full array of services and technologies include the following:
Electron Beam Welding can be used to join metals and alloys to themselves or each other with high repeatability and virtually no distortion. EBTEC has the largest EB welding chamber on the East Coast, accommodating pieces up to 10' in diameter.
Laser Cutting can produce exact, minimal-kerf cuts with extremely high repeatability. We can perform 5-axis and flat sheet cutting, both with minimal heat distortion.
Laser Drilling can deliver angled and difficult access holes on alloys and composites that cannot be drilled by conventional methods.
Laser Welding can join multiple kinds of metals, and alloys to themselves or each other without fillers or fluxes. Its 5-axis laser control allows for extreme precision and minimal distortion. Laser welding joins ferrous metals, stainless steel, precious metals, and alloys with no secondary finishing required.
Abrasive Waterjet Cutting is a nonthermal process employing high-pressure water with garnet in suspension as the cutting medium, and is capable of cutting up to 16" of granite. Superalloys can be cut to a smooth finish, with no recast, remelt, or heat-related distortion.
Surfi-Sculpt™ is a high energy beam process that creates detailed protrusions and intrusions on any ferrous or nonferrous metal. This unique technology allows for an infinite number of textures or patterns.
Fabrication, Conventional Machining, and Welding are offered in-house to help make production more efficient and cost effective for our customers. This includes TIG welding, CNC milling and turning, furnace brazing, surface grinding, and electro-discharge machining.
